Heptagon's highly experienced engineering team has specialized for nearly two decades in the high-volume design and manufacture of optical components for a wide variety of market segments. Our engineering team in Zurich specializes in R&D and process and product development, while our engineers in Singapore focus on new product introduction and process engineering. This know-how includes patented processes for lens replication, lithography, wafer stacking, coating, dicing, testing and assembly processes as well as unique knowledge in manufacturing reflowable products.
We begin each project by collaborating with a customer to define target specifications for light, sensing and imaging solutions. We then translate our customer's specifications into an advanced micro-optics solution that meets high performance standards, is highly precise and can be manufactured in high volume. Within our proprietary design process, we model and simulate our design to optimize product performance through tolerance and sensitivity analysis, and predict yields in mass production by statistical analysis. As we develop prototypes and transition to mass production, we continue to perform simulations to predict, monitor and improve product performance and yield. We use our final product design to create a wafer-scale master, which is a template used to produce molds that enable mass production of the product.
